House Clean & Clearance

A full, careful clean and clearance of your loved one's home, with treasured belongings set aside and nothing rushed away.

A homely, traditional family house

A lifetime of memories, handled with care

A family home holds a whole life. Photographs in drawers, letters in the loft, a favourite chair by the window. Clearing it can feel overwhelming, and for many families it's the hardest part of losing someone.

That's why we never treat it as just a clearance. Our small team works slowly and respectfully, sorting as we go, setting aside anything that looks meaningful and checking with you before anything leaves the house.

Whether the home is being sold, passed on or returned to a landlord, we'll leave it clean, clear and cared for, and you never need to face it alone.

What's included

Everything the home needs, in one gentle service

Each home is different, so we shape the work around what your family needs. It usually includes:

A full clean of the home from top to bottom

Careful, respectful sorting of all belongings

Keepsakes and personal items set aside for the family

Donation of suitable items to local charities

Responsible recycling and disposal of the rest

The home left ready for sale, handover or the next chapter

Treated with respect

What happens to their belongings

Nothing that mattered to your loved one is simply thrown away. Every item is considered, and you decide what happens to the things that matter.

Kept & treasured

Photographs, letters, jewellery and keepsakes are carefully set aside and handed to the family, exactly as we find them.

Given a new life

Furniture, clothing and household items in good condition are donated to charities, so they go on doing good in someone else's home.

Responsibly recycled

Anything that can't be kept or donated is recycled or disposed of properly, never just skipped without thought.

Common questions

You might be wondering

Do we need to be there while you work?
Only if you'd like to be. Some families want to be present, others find it too painful and prefer to stay away. We'll keep you updated either way and nothing meaningful leaves the house without your say so.
What if we're not ready yet?
Then we wait. There's no timetable for grief, and the home isn't going anywhere. Some families call us months after the funeral, and that's completely fine.
How long does a clearance take?
It depends on the home, but most take between one and three days. We'll give you an honest idea after a first visit, and we never rush the sorting stage.
Can you work around probate?
Yes. We're used to working alongside solicitors and estate timelines, and we can hold off, store or stage the work however the legal process requires.
